Paul Carroll

Paul hails from County Wexford in Ireland.

He began his career as a professional singer, touring the world as the male soloist in RIVERDANCE and has also lent his voice to original cast recordings of new musicals as well as creating roles for these productions.

Now successfully moved across to acting, Paul’s credits range from ‘Thomas Hanlon’ in A SKULL IN CONNEMARA (Nottingham Playhouse – dir: Fiona Buffini) through THE NON-STOP CONNOLLY SHOW at the Finborough, OUTLAWS TO IN-LAWS at the Kings Head to his brilliant solo sketch show 40 SHADES OF STRAWBERRY BLONDE at Brighton Festival and Soho Theatre.   He has played all the male roles (and one leading female) in VICTORIAN LADIES IN BED at the Bookshop Theatre in Waterloo and site-specific in Manchester at the converted Victoria Baths in sell-out performances.

On screen his credits include CHOSEN feature film and THE WRONG CHANGE short.

In autumn 2022 Paul played a very well-reviewed  ‘Pato Dooley’ in another Martin McDonagh play THE BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE for Rapture Theatre at the Traverse in Edinburgh and touring Scotland.   And over the summer he was equally appreciated as a playful and inventive ‘Feste’ in TWELFTH NIGHT for East London Shakespeare Festival.   

Earlier in 2023, Paul played two very contrasting roles in STRIKE! at Southwark Playhouse and he will shortly rehearse another Irish classic - shortly to be announced!

Paul has an EU passport.
