Simon Cartwright

Simon was born in Croydon and spent most his childhood in West Sussex. He began life with musical aspirations and became a professional classical guitarist in the late 1980s. Following four years at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and in the 1990's graduated with BA (Hons) Music from Guildford University. Simon pursued a performing career as both actor and impressionist after playing a number of gigs at THE COMEDY STORE with Alistair McGowan, whom he had met at Guildhall.
Following a variety of TV appearances and live performances over the subsequent years, he realised his life-long ambition of performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2015 in THE MAN CALLED MONKHOUSE receiving critical acclaim for his solo performance. Simon also filmed a principal guest role in series 3 of award-winning Ch4 sit-com TOAST OF LONDON
In 2016, Simon played Bob Monkhouse in THE LAST LAUGH, a film written, produced and directed by Paul Hendy. The film won a number of awards including Best Comedy Drama at Los Angeles Independent Film Festival. Simon won Best Supporting Actor at Sydney Independent Film Festival and Best Actor at the Discovery Film Festival 2017.
