Rosie Ward trained in Acting at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. During her drama school years, she was selected to represent Mountview at an annual RSC workshop and appeared with The Choir at the 2011 Olivier Awards at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.
Shakespeare is something of a passion and favourite roles include Cleopatra in ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA; General in KING LEAR (Cambridge Shakespeare Festival) & Lady Macbeth in MACBETH (UK Tour)…mean Queens seems to be a running theme!
Rosie is a strong Alto and was part of the Original UK Cast of "35MM - A MUSICAL EXHIBITION which she has performed at Pleasance London, Greenwich Theatre and Bedlam at the Edinburgh Fringe; and she worked with the composer of 35MM, in RSO IN LONDON: THE MUSIC AND LYRICS OF RYAN SCOTT OLIVER at St James Theatre.
Rosie enjoys devising and new writing and is a founding member of the award-winning Buckle-Up Theatre, with whom she has represented the UK with JOURNEYS, performed in Lithuania, Belgium, Germany and at Edinburgh Gilded Balloon in 2016.
Rosie much enjoyed creating a leading role in GREAT AGAIN new musical at Vault Festival and working with Hugh Jackman in HUGH JACKMAN: THE MAN, THE MUSIC, THE SHOW.
She is the CEO of UpFront Theatre Company, (running educational & interactive workshops) whose EAST END SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL was unable to open due to Coronavirus. They'll be back!
