JOHN HUDSON began his career as an actor in the 1980's when tv roles included one of the title characters in THE TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA as part of the BBC Shakespeare Cycle, leading roles in OSCAR with Michael Gambon, MAKE AND BREAK with Dame Judi Dench and THE WINSLOW BOY with Emma Thompson as well as guest appearances in PEOPLE LIKE US, EASTENDERS and ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS, JONATHAN CREEK amongst many other series.

On stage he appeared in the West End with Charlton Heston in A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS (Savoy Theatre) with Julia McKenzie in WOMAN IN MIND and with Martin Jarvis in EXCHANGE (both at the Vaudeville Theatre). John also worked at the Open Air Theatre, Regents Park, the King's Head (where he lived for a while!) and many times at the Orange Tree Theatre (most recently in WOMEN OF LOCKERBIE) and at theatres across the UK.

John returns to acting after a spell in secondary education as an English teacher. He has a PHD in English Literature and also writes. Current projects include writing the book and lyrics for a new musical, HAVISHAM which explores the back story of one of literature's most iconic figures.
