David is a retired Senior Civil Servant with a 40-year career in the Ministry of Defence. During this period he devoted his free time to acting, directing and playwriting at the the Questors Theatre in Ealing, the country's foremost non-professional theatre. On his retirement from the civil service in 1997, David became free to work professionally, since when he has appeared in numerous theatre, film and television roles.
