I was born in North Wales, Anglesey and come from a Punjabi background. I moved to London to train at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts on the BA Acting course. These were three intense years where I could practice my craft and develop my knowledge on creating a character.
The production I am most proud of to date is Theatre Royal Stratford East’s production of The House of In Between where I played Pooji Ghai. I was given complete freedom to explore the root of my character and it was a role that stretched me physically and mentally; I also revelled in the script.
As an actor, I always approach my character’s physicality first, using Laban techniques as a base. I constantly push myself in exploration and try not to get too comfortable. Research is vital for me, I always like to submerge myself into the world of the play
